GEICO Special Investigators – Unpaid Overtime

Kessler Matura P.C. and co-counsel have filed a class and collective action lawsuit on behalf of current and former “Special Investigators” who worked for GEICO.

The complaint alleges that GEICO’s Special Investigators were required to work “off the clock” – that is, before and after their regular schedules without pay. Due to the workplace pressures and nature of their work, Special Investigators regularly completed their assignments and paperwork, but were not permitted to report this working time for payroll purposes. As a result, we allege that Special Investigators are owed considerable unpaid hours, including unpaid overtime.

This lawsuit seeks to recover back wages and related damages to all individuals employed in New York since April 2017, who worked for GEICO as Special Investigators, Special Investigator Trainers, SIU Investigators, Security Investigators, Senior Outside Security Investigators, Outside Field Investigators, Medical Investigators, Medical Fraud Investigators, Inside Medical Investigators, and Lead Investigators.
