Chateau La Mer - Unpaid Overtime Wages and Spread-of-Hours Pay

Shulman Kessler LLP announces that it has filed a collective action lawsuit on behalf of the current and former employees of the waterfront catering facility known as Chateau La Mer, alleging that Chateau La Mer failed to pay its employees overtime premium pay for those hours worked in excess of 40 per week. The plaintiffs are former employees of Chateau La Mer, who frequently worked in excess of 40 hours per week.

The complaint, which was filed in the United States District Court, Eastern District of New York, is titled Gonzalez v. Lindenmar Restaurant, Inc, et al., and was assigned to the Hon. Joseph F. Bianco, U.S.D.J. and the Hon. William D. Wall, U.S.M.J. - Docket Number - 11CV5302, alleges that the defendants had a policy and practice of requiring its employees to work in excess of 40 hours per week, without providing them with overtime premium pay.
